New Delhi, July 29 -- Imran Khan has been missing from the big screen for a while. The actor was last seen with Kareena Kapoor Khan in Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (2013) - and it looks like his fans will have to wait a little longer. Imran's next with director Nikhil Advani, which was initially supposed to start next month, has now been pushed further.
An industry insider reveals, "Imran's film was slated to start in August, but the delay in Nikhil's ongoing project (with newcomers Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty) has resulted in his film getting postponed." Imran is said to be using this break to spend more time with his daughter, Imara, who was born last month.
The team is now expected to begin preparing for the film in September. "There will be workshops before they start rolling in October. The film is a love story," says the source, adding, "(Actor) Kangana Ranaut has been signed alongside Imran. She had a narration recently and has given a thumbs-up."
Imran chose to keep mum when asked about his co-star, and only said: "Our dates for the film are locked. We'll start work on it soon."
