New Delhi, Aug. 1 -- Amid rumours that his ex-wife Sussanne has demanded 400 crore in alimony, actor Hrithik Roshan has cleared the air on Twitter. "Fabricated news articles. Demeaning my loved ones. Testing my patience," he wrote on Wednesday.
Official sources close to the actor, too, rubbished the rumour. "Money has so far not even been a topic of discussion between Hrithik and Sussanne. They have even left it out of court because it does not hold importance to them. Hrithik being the person he is, would do anything to ensure that his family is happy and well looked-after. Sussanne, too, is an independent working girl who has her own business. Any talk of money or dispute over settlement is ridiculous and fabricated." fabricated "
The two, who got married in 2000, announced their separation in December last year, and their divorce is expected to come through in October.
Meanwhile, Sussanne, who was till now known as Sussanne Roshan, has dropped Roshan from her name. Her spokesperson confirmed that she is now 'Sussanne Khan' for all purposes.
The Twitterati, on its part, didn't let go of the opportunity to poke fun at the matter matter. "Sussanne Khan went out for grocery shopping. Checked out tomato price. Came back & demanded Rs. 400 crores in alimony (sic)," tweeted @ PiyushGolchha.
"Sussanne Thought Alimony is spelled as All your Money," wrote @ CycleHandle.
Another user, Purba Ray tweeted, "Sussanne Roshan may not have demanded 400 crores as alimony but Twitter certainly cracked 400 cr jokes in her honour."
