Even as most of Delhi sat glued to TV sets on Sunday thanks to the Indo-Pak cricket match, East Delhi was peeping out of its windows to catch a glimpse of actors Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan shooting right next to the Mayur Vihar Extn Metro station.
One side of the neighbouring flyover and nearby areas were shut off for most part of the day, with the resulting traffic diversions leading to much confusion and chaos. The crawling cars got ample view of the long caravan with vanity vans, shoot equipment, camera cranes and a big crew in action for their upcoming film, Bang Bang. It is the official remake of the Tom Cruise-Cameron Diaz starrer, Knight and Day.
We spotted Hrithik’s stunt double in high action, the crew-tailor stitching up loose costumes, errand boys laying out food, and water dispensers placed right in the path of moving traffic!
"The cast and crew of Bang Bang, including lead pair Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif, shot in Mayur Vihar Phase I on Sunday. They had permissions from morning till about 6 in the evening. They will be shooting at different locations in Delhi for a few days now," said Sudhir Sobti of Delhi Tourism, which issues filming permissions.
