Mumbai, March 27 -- Not many would know that film-maker-actor Farhan Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani are school friends. And, they catch up with their batchmates every week over a football match.
Apparently, they are so passionate about the sport that they don't give these matches a miss, irrespective of their busy work schedules.
"Ritesh and Farhan used to play football in school. And over the years, they have stayed in touch with their group of friends. They play football every Sunday," says a source close to Farhan.
Apparently, the duo has been busy for the last few weeks, but their hectic schedule hasn't interrupted their Sunday plans. "Both of them have been occupied with their upcoming film. Farhan travels extensively for his music concerts too. But, they haven't skipped their weekly game at their school playground. They consider it an opportunity to reunite with their friends," adds the source.
When contacted, Farhan's spokesperson said, "They're very close to their batchmates and they have fun playing football every week."
