Mumbai, Oct. 14 -- Farhan Akhtar dons many hats, and singing is just one of the things he has been particularly applauded for.
Music composers Salim and Sulaiman Merchant, who recently collaborated with him for a song, say that even though the actor is not a trained singer, his voice has substance. "Some people might not necessarily be fantastic singers, but they have a certain quality in their voices, which attracts people and puts the point across. Farhan is one such singer; he sings from the heart. His voice has a personality, which may not be technically good, but it touches hearts," says Sulaiman.
The 40-year-old recently worked with the composer duo for a single, 'Chulein aasman'. The theme of the number focuses on women's empowerment. Sharing their reasons for inviting the actor to be part of this project, Salim says, "We have known Farhan for a really long time now, and we wanted to work with him. This collaboration gave us a chance to do that."
