Mumbai, June 27 -- Esha Gupta, who moved to Mumbai from Delhi about five years ago to make a career in films, believes that everyone should get the opportunity to study and lead an independent life.
So, the actor has apparently decided to finance the education of her domestic help's daughter, as she strongly believes in the importance of girl education.
"Rekha (her helper) not only works at Esha's house, but also stays with her. During one of their conversations recently, she mentioned that she's looking for a job for her daughter, Meera, who is just 11 years old and stays in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
When Esha asked her about her daughter's education, Rekha said that she had to stop it owing to financial crisis. That's when Esha promised to sponsor her daughter's education," says a source close to the actor.
Apparently, Esha will not only take care of her education, but will also look after her stay in city.
"She has asked her domestic help to bring her daughter to Mumbai. They are figuring out the admission process in a municipal school and a hostel," adds the source.
When contacted, Esha confirmed the news, and said, "I feel every child needs proper education. Educating a girl child means educating a family."
