New Delhi, June 24 -- One of the highlights of an Emraan Hashmi film - in addition to the kissing scenes that the actor is famous for - is its soulful music.
From Woh Lamhe and Aashiq Banaya Aapne to the recent sufi numbers like Ishq Sufiyana and O Mere Moula Moula, songs from the actor's movies go on to top the charts. And now, Emraan seems to have found a friend who shares his love for sufi music in co-star Humaima Malick.
While shooting for director Kunal Deshmukh's upcoming film, the two actors bonded over shared interests. "They would share their knowledge on the subject and get into deep discussions about the topic during a recess on the shoot," says a source from the film's sets. Since she is from Pakistan, Humaima has extensive knowledge about sufi music. The duo spoke about sufism even when they were shooting in South Africa.
When asked about this, Kunal confirms the development, saying, "They bonded over sufism while a sufi song was being shot in Cape Town. Humaima also invited Emraan to Pakistan and promised to introduce him to sufi songs by local artistes over there."
