New Delhi, March 24 -- He might seem like the most flamboyant star on -screen, but birthday boy Emraan Hashmi doesn't believe in much noise when it comes to real life.
Unlike most of his industry collegaues, who go all out to throw lavish birthday bashes, hobnobbing with Bollywood biggies, our lover boy is going to celebrate the day with childhood his buddies and family.
"There aren't any elaborate plans. Just sort of going out with family and friends, a small intimate gathering, that's it. I might drive down to a farmhouse in Karjat with childhood friends and old buddies, and yes, there'll be a small and intimate dinner with close family members," says the actor, who turns 36 today.
Well, perhaps not a grand bash, but Hashmi is surely planning to indulge in all his favourite dishes on this day. While he's currently aiming to shed some weight in order to portray the character of cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin's in a biopic, he says that today will be a cheat day.
"I've been on a strict diet and fitness regime, and it's tough, especially because I have a sweet tooth. My wife snatches away all the desserts from me. Today, however, I will be indulging in all that," says Hashmi, who is looking forward to 2015.
"I've worked in some great projects, which'll be releasing this year. So I'm hoping their success. On personal front, we've been through a testing time last year (after son Ayan was diagnosed with cancer). Now, thankfully, everything is good," he says.
