Mumbai, Oct. 21 -- Earlier this year, Emraan Hashmi upset his uncle Mahesh Bhatt when he used the dates allotted to the director-producer to promote a different project.
Apparently, that didn't go down too well with the Bhatts and a rift was also reported. But soon, Emraan extended an olive branch and was roped in for the production house's next, also starring Vidya Balan. To keep things straight, the 35-year-old actor has now sought permission from Bhatt to shoot for a promotional song for Karan Johar and Rensil D'Silva's next.
Says a source, "When he was offered the song, Emraan told Karan's team that he will let them know if he can make time for the shoot as he doesn't want to anger the Bhatts once again. So, he spoke to Mahesh about taking two days for the song." When contacted, Bhatt told us that Emraan has indeed been given permission to shoot for the song.
"Emraan did tell me about the break he needed. We are shooting our film in Dubai right now, and will soon be moving to Cape Town. So, in the interim, we have given him some days off to shoot the song," he says. Emraan confirmed the news as well, saying, "I have taken permission and will be flying to Mumbai soon. I'm really excited to shoot this song as it is a fun concept."
