Donning the producer's hat changed Dia's life!

Mumbai, Dec. 5 -- Dia Mirza turned film producer in 2011 with the film, Love Breakups Zindagi. Four years on, she is happy with the projects that her production house has been involved with.

"I am very proud of the work that we are doing at our production house. Becoming a producer has added more meaning to my life, and widened my horizons," says Dia, while talking about the production house that she co-owns with her husband, Sahil Sangha. They also produced Bobby Jasoos in 2014.

"We have great minds at work, and thanks to them, I can now start focusing on my acting projects," adds Dia, who made her acting debut with Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (2001). She has since been seen in films such as Parineeta (2005) and Dus Kahaniyaan (2007).

Talking about how her role has changed in the film industry, Dia says, "As an actor, you play a small part in a big process. However, as a producer, you are constantly creating something new, and have more responsibilities."

The actor, who is known for her involvement in social causes, has also recently joined hands with an initiative in which entrepreneurs have sung songs to spread awareness about certain issues.
