Mumbai, March 18 -- Dia Mirza often comes forward to lend her support to social causes. While she raised funds for the Jammu & Kashmir flood victims, she also supported an organisation working towards rural development.
Now, the actress has joined hands with a Delhi-based NGO that works for the betterment of the underprivileged by giving them opportunity to work in creative fields.
The NGO has planned an exhibition where written works of women from around the world will be showcased. Dia will be lending her voice for the campaign's video and has reached out to Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari and Richa Chadda to be part of the initiative.
A source close to the actor says, "The campaign will have recitations of (late) American poet-author Maya Angelou's poem, And Still I Rise. The NGO approached Dia to be part of the campaign. While she committed her time to shoot this video, she also reached out to Konkona, Aditi and Richa to recite this powerfully worded poem."
The video will be screened at an exhibition in Delhi later this month.
When contacted, Dia confirmed the news, saying, "I feel privileged to be able to lend my voice in support of the campaign. And I feel blessed to be able to bring people together to make a difference."
