New Delhi, Dec. 26 -- It was reunion time for Deepika Padukone last week. The actor, who received rave reviews for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2013 film Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela, co-starring Ranveer Singh, got together with the same team after almost two years to shoot portions of their next - a period film.
"She shot for two days before leaving for a Christmas break," says an insider, adding, "The two days of shooting helped her understand her character better. While she's on the break, she will be going through the script for a better grasp of the film. Once back, she will begin a long shooting schedule with Bhansali's unit."
Deepika was unavailable for comment, but her spokesperson confirms the news, saying, "She has started shooting for Bhansali's film. She shot some crucial scens for two days before she left for her vacation. She will be back in the first week of January."
