Mumbai, March 24 -- Film-makers and actors nowadays leave no stone unturned to promote their movies, trying out unique marketing gimmicks to attract the audience's attention.
The latest one to follow this path is director Shoojit Sircar, who plans to launch a video in a few days to promote his next, that stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan.
The film's story revolves around a father-daughter relationship. The video that will be circulated on a chat application and will also be uploaded online, will see Deepika asking parents of journalists and non-media people to meet the cast at the trailer launch of the film on March 25 at a city hotel.
A source close to Deepika reveals, "The makers of the film will send the video to journalists on a chat application and will also be running a contest online, wherein others can participate. The winners along with their parents, will get a chance to interact with the team of the film."
When contacted, Shoojit confirmed the story, saying, "While we were brainstorming with regards to the marketing of the film, the team came up with this concept as it goes well with the story."
