New Delhi, July 28 -- Deepika Padukone is set to work with Irrfan Khan for the first time, and their unusual pairing in Shoojit Sircar's film - that also stars Amitabh Bachchan - has already made news.
"I have worked with Amitji earlier (in Aarakshan; 2011), where we played father and daughter. It's the same in this film. As for Irrfan, we all know what a phenomenal performer he is. Plus, he is great for the part. I think I'll get to learn a lot by working with him," says Deepika. The actor also harbours an interest in working with Salman Khan. Interestingly, she was in talks to star in his film, Kick, but things didn't work out. Ask her about it and she says, "I have always said that I want to work with him (Salman). There are no two ways about it. As far as films are concerned, there's always a right time and space for everything. I know that whenever that happens, it will be special."
Deepika will also be seen in Homi Adajania's next, which sees her paired with Arjun Kapoor. The actors will be seen speaking in English in the film. "Acting is acting, but when you speak in a different language, it sounds distinct. In fact, you sound different to yourself for the first few days," says the actor, adding, "I am used to hearing myself speak in Hindi (on screen). But it was different when I heard myself talking in English. But it was challenging and exciting."
