Mumbai, April 1 -- Driving in crowded cities in India can be a daunting task for those who haven't honed their skills much. So, when Deepika Padukone was told that she would have to drive a car with Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan seated in it for some portions of their film, Piku, she was a little hesitant.
A source says, "Deepika knows how to drive, but she hasn't practised much. However, during the shoot, she didn't have a choice. This situation did her a world of good because she is a lot more confident behind the wheel now."
When contacted, Deepika confirmed the story, saying, "This film will always be special for me because, for the first time, I drove on a highway while shooting. In fact, on one of the last days of the shoot, I drove my team back from the location on the highway to our hotel. It was a great experience. I have now started driving more often in Mumbai too."
