The makers of Salman Khan’s next, Jai Ho, directed by Sohail Khan, are trying their best to build curiosity around the movie. They will soon launch the trailer of the film at a gala event. And while Salman Khan will be present at the do, his leading lady, Daisy Shah, will not be part of it. An industry insider reveals that the makers don’t want her to make many public appearances.
“The makers are keeping her away from the trailer launch as they are planning to host a grand event where she will be in the limelight. It will mostly be the first song launch of the film,” says the source.
When contacted, the spokesperson of the film confirms the development without divulging details: “We are planning something very special for Daisy.”
The dancer-turned-actor will be making her debut with this film, which will release in January 2014. Reportedly, Salman had earlier offered her the role of the second female lead in Bodyguard (2011), an offer that she had turned down.
Although the date of the launch is yet to be finalised, Salman has confirmed his presence. “Right now, he’s busy shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick. But he has said that he will take time out for the event,” says the source.
