The makers of horror-thriller Creature 3D, starring actors Bipasha Basu and Imran Abbas, are confident that their film will demonstrate Bollywood’s prowess in creating state-of-the-art VFX or visual effects.
Vikram Bhatt, who has directed the film, is excited that Bollywood will finally get a CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) character of its own.
In fact, the makers feel that the character of the creature, which Bhatt has conjured, is something Indians can boast about. It is based on Indian history and inspired by the popular mythological stories like Vikram Aur Betaal, Panchatantra and others.
Vikram says that in this film, the creature gets as much prominence as the lead actors. “It has the same amount of screen time as the hero and heroine. I know for sure that when the audience sees it, they will make others see it too,” he says, adding, “If this works, we would have opened a whole new avenue for other filmmakers in India.”
Producer Bhushan Kumar adds that so far, exhibitors and people who have seen parts of the film, have given him positive feedback. “Creature 3D is the effort and vision of Vikram Bhatt, which we at T-Series have supported fully. The response we have received from the industry is overwhelming and we are confident about our VFX,” he says, adding, “Our creature doesn’t come and go. It is present for an hour on screen.”
The film releases on September 12.
