Mumbai, April 29 -- Rani Mukerji's upcoming film, Mardaani, is no longer a solo release scheduled for August 22. The actor will now have to share the date with Bipasha Basu, whose next with Vikram Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar, titled Creature 3D, is set to hit theatres on the same day.
"We know that there's another film that is releasing on the same date. But since both are different genres, it won't be a problem," says Vinod Bhanushali, president, marketing and publishing, of Bipasha's film. The film was supposed to release on June 27 but the makers deliberately delayed it.
"Ours is a 3D film. And since there are two international 3D films releasing around that time, it would be very difficult to get 3D screens (had we kept the June release)," explains Bhanushali. This will be Bipasha's first release since Aatma (2013), which was directed by Suparn Verma. Rani's last release was the Aamir Khan-starrer Talaash (2012).
