Mumbai, Aug. 4 -- Music is an essential part of most Bollywood films, and finding the right platform to market it is equally crucial when it comes to deciding the fate of a movie. Now, T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar is set to give three films co-produced by Ritesh Sidhwani (of Excel Entertainment) that very platform.
A source says, "Bhushan has bought the rights of three upcoming films that are being produced by Excel Entertainment. Ritesh is a good friend. They have shared a healthy working rapport with each other since Dil Chahta Hai (DCH; 2001)."
Bhushan adds, "Our association with Excel goes back to the days of DCH. Our ideologies are quite similar. We both love to experiment with different genres, different music and give something new to our audience. Excel Entertainment has some really exciting projects lined up for the future and we are glad to have acquired the rights of their films Dil Dhadkane Do, Raees and Bangistan."
Meanwhile, Ritesh says, "We are happy to have T-Series on board for our forthcoming films' music rights. Right from DCH, Don (2006), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) and Rock On! (2008), we have delivered hit albums and are looking forward for this new collaboration with T Series."
