New Delhi, Oct. 19 -- Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who often travels all the way to Chandigarh to spend time with his wife and two kids, says that he does not plan to move them to Mumbai.
The actor, who grew up in Chandigarh, feels that the place provides a better environment for growing up than Mumbai. "My family is with my parents in Chandigarh. I feel that Chandigarh is the right place for my children to grow up in. Mumbai has concrete jungles and it is not healthy for them to grow up there," says Ayushmann, adding that he credits Chandigarh for his success.
"I grew up there and it has a lot to do with what I have become. I would not be like this if I had grown up in Mumbai and I would not have been able to be involved in so many things."
Meanwhile, the actor has decided to protect his kids from the media glare. "I feel that this is for their own good. It is important for them to lead a normal life. This is also why I feel that they should be in Chandigarh," he says.
With the festival of Diwali coming soon, Ayushmann is excited, as this time he will be spending it with his family, including his six-month-old daughter. "It is special, as this is my first Diwali with my daughter," he says.
The 30-year-old says that generally he tries not to dress up too much during the festival. "I used to dress up a lot earlier. But now, I keep it simple," he says.
