Mumbai, Jan. 8 -- Ayushmann Khurrana's character and look in his upcoming film, which is a biopic on scientist Shivkar Bapuji Talpade (an Indian pioneer, who reportedly flew the first plane in India) is being talked about.
Now, the movie has also got support from the Pathare Prabhu community, to which Talpade belonged. Apparently, people in the community have liked the film's trailer and have sent letters of support to Ayushmann and director Vibhu Puri. "Since this is the first time Talpade has been recognised for his contribution, they (the community) are really eager to see the film," says a source close to the actor.
We have also been told that members of the community have requested the makers to organise a special film screening for them. When contacted, Puri confirmed the development, saying, "For me, to explore the story of the unsung Indian hero has been a great cinematic journey. Many people are unaware of the fact that the first person to fly a plane was an Indian and not the Wright Brothers. It was heartening when Talpade's community reached out to us and appreciated our effort."
Ayushmann adds, "We are glad that the Pathare Prabhu community has liked the trailer and is looking forward to watching the film."
