Mumbai, Dec. 8 -- In 2012, when Ayushmann Khurrana made his successful Bollywood debut with Vicky Donor, it was followed by an announcement about another venture where the actor would team up with Shoojit Sircar (director) and John Abraham (producer).
Then, the film got delayed due to various reasons, including an automobile company apparently objecting to the makers using the tagline of their popular ads. At the time, the makers had decided to change the title.
And now, it looks like the film is finally set to hit the floors next year (January-February). "Ayushmann has been busy shooting for his upcoming films and now that he has nearly wrapped up that work, he can focus entirely on his next, which will go on the floors in early 2015," says an insider.
In all likelihood, the film will kick off with an extended schedule in Agra, since the story has a strong connection with the city.
"While a major portion of the film will be wrapped up in Agra, other portions will be shot in Mumbai," adds the insider.
Reportedly, Ayushmann will be seen playing a tourist guide who aspires to work in Bollywood. Unlike Vicky Donor, Ayushmann's new film will be helmed by Amit Roy. "Yes, the film (to be directed by Amit) will be majorly shot in Agra. In the meantime, I have wrapped up work on Vibhu Puri's and Sharat's (Katariya) respective films," says the actor, who is also supposed to be part of Shoojit's upcoming movie based on football which will also star John.
