Mumbai, May 14 -- Being an actor, Ayushmann Khurrana often gets to travel to exotic locations for work. But he is now planning an interesting vacation with his wife, Tahira.
The couple has decided to travel to several Sufi shrines across the world, and their first stop will be Turkey, a destination they decided on after reading Elif Safak's The Forty Rules of Love: A Novel of Rumi.
"Ayushmann and Tahira have one thing in common - their love for traveling. And since they have always been attracted to Sufism, they have always wanted to visit all the popular Sufi shrines in the world. They have decided to start their journey with Turkey because the shrines there were so beautifully described in Safak's novel, a book they both love," says an insider.
However, they are yet to decide on the dates for the trip. "They are still working out the details such as the itinerary, duration and travel dates. However, they are sure that they would like to start their journey by the end of this year. That will be followed by trips to other Sufi places, including the popular ones in India," adds the insider.
When contacted, Ayushmann says he is excited about the plan. "Our Turkey trip will be happening this year itself," he confirmed.
