Mumbai, Jan. 25 -- After being blamed for Hrithik Roshan and his wife Sussanne's split (the actor and his wife Mehr Jesia were forced to issue a joint statement saying they had nothing to do with it),
Now we hear that Arjun has landed in fresh trouble with regards to his popular nightclub in Delhi. The actor has been slapped with a legal notice by the India Tourism Development Corporation Limited (ITDC) for not clearing the outstanding rent of 2 crore for his lounge-bar Lap, which he runs in the IDTC's Hotel Samrat in Chanakyapuri, south Delhi.
When contacted, Arjun, who had launched this luxury nightclub in 2009, directed us to his legal team, who confirmed that there is a dispute regarding the dues payable. "There is some issue pending with regard to the settlement of certain accounts with the ITDC in respect of Lap, and the matter is now sub judice. We are working on it, and are confident about resolving it with the ITDC amicably," says Arjun's advocate, Ateev Mathur.
He adds that they believe there could have been some accounting errors as well. ITDC sources reveal that the actor was sent reminders several times before a legal notice was issued. "Once he clears the balance amount, we will renew his contract," says a source from the ITDC.
