New Delhi, Jan. 16 -- Aayush Sharma may have married Arpita Khan Sharma, daughter of writer Salim Khan and sister of actors Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail Khan, but the Khans have no plans of launching him in Bollywood. "Just because he is associated with the family, it does not mean that the family is obliged to make a movie with him or to launch him," says Arbaaz, adding that Aayush wants to carve his own journey.
"He wants to do things on his own. If we ever chance upon a script which needs him, we will take him. But he is open to working with other filmmakers and when he gets offers, he will take them up," he says.
Meanwhile, Arbaaz who has restricted himself to filmmaking for a while now, says that he is looking forward to act again. "My acting career has not shut shop, it has just taken a backseat. I am acting in an Abbas-Mustan film, in which I have a very interesting role. The movie also stars Kapil Sharma (actor-comedian)," says the filmmaker-actor.
He has helmed blockbusters such as Dabangg and Dabangg 2, but the 47-year-old admits that he still has a lot to learn when it comes to production. "Right now, I am into filmmaking, there are also many elements of marketing which I still need to learn. I think I will learn along the way," he says. Currently, he is looking forward to his upcoming film starring Sonam Kapoor, which will clash at the box office with Akshay Kumar's film, Baby.
But, there are no jitters, he says. "It is very difficult to get a solo release. The films are in different genres. Some people will see their film (Baby), some will see ours. So, I don't feel that the clash will affect the films," he says.
