New Delhi, March 31 -- After tasting success with her maiden home production, NH10, actor Anushka Sharma is out for a second stint at it. However, unlike her debut production, she won't be acting in the second film.
"Anushka's next two productions - under her banner that she has formed with brother Karnesh - were finalised last year itself, much before NH10 even got completed. She was clear about not waiting for the box office fate of her first film because she believed in the stories and the creative talent associated with them," says an insider.
Apparently, the 26-year-old actor and producer has roped in Akshat Verma, who wrote the hit comedy, Delhi Belly (2011), to direct a film for her. "She is not going to act in Akshat's film, for which the casting process is going to begin very soon," adds the insider. In all likelihood, the film will go on the floor towards the end of the year.
"Anushka is clear that she hasn't turned producer to act in all her films. So, the audience would see a lot of films from her production firm - she would lead from the front in a few and not act in others," says the insider. Despite repeated attempts, Anushka couldn't be reached for a comment.
