New Delhi, March 18 -- Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is very appreciative of his Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) writer Zeishan Qadri. However, when the latter asked Anurag to give feedback on his directorial debut, Anurag didn't shy away from being an honest critic.
The filmmaker not only suggested a few changes, which Zeishan was happy to incorporate, but even snipped 32 minutes off his film.
"When Anurag sir saw the film, he really liked it. However, he told me that he found the film a little long," says Zeishan, adding that Anurag in fact decided to make the changes himself.
"He called in sometime and told me that he had decided to edit my film himself. He re-edited the entire film, cutting it down by 32 minutes. This change made the film crispier and better," adds Zeishan.
