Mumbai, March 6 -- It started out like a film love story, and allegedly festered like one. Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin met each other when the director was looking for an actress for his film, Dev.D (2009).
Soon, the couple had moved in together, and tied the knot in 2011. But last year, news of trouble in the relationship surfaced, followed by a joint statement in which they declared they were separating: "Me and Kalki are separating, we are taking time off from each other to figure things out. We are not divorcing..." they said in November 2013.
In January this year, Kalki even took to social media to deny speculations that actor Huma Qureshi had caused their rift.
Now, nearly four months after their statement, the couple might be on better terms. Even though Anurag is in Sri Lanka, shooting for an upcoming Ranbir Kapoor-starrer, and Kalki is in India, it seems that they have been talking to each other on the phone.
When we ask Kalki about it, she says, "We never stopped talking. We have always been in touch. It's been projected otherwise by the media but we talk regularly." Sources close to Kalki and Anurag reveal that the frequency and duration of their calls have increased.
