New Delhi, Oct. 10 -- Singer, music director and composer - all rolled into one - Ankit Tiwari shot to fame with the success of his tracks in Aashiqui 2 (2013). And more recently, the success of the song, Galliyan (Ek Villain, 2014) has made the singer a happier man.
However, there's also that pressure of rising expectations. "It feels great to be loved and recognised. I'm more confident about experimenting with music and I know people love me. Life's the same otherwise. The work has increased and I'm loving that part. But I must acknowledge that the pressure to do better has increased. People expect way more from me now," says the 24-year-old.
And with success, the number of live shows that Ankit does has also increased. And tomorrow, Ankit will be doing his fifth show in Delhi. "Delhi is one of my favourite places to perform at. The crowd here infuses me with energy. I am super excited about it."
According to the singer, live shows are important for musicians, as they are a medium to connect with fans. "Live shows are very important, as it is the closest you can get to the audience. You get instant feedback and love. Also, it's through these shows that you learn how well your song is doing or will do, depending on the response it gets. It's also a direct connect with the listeners," he says.
