New Delhi, Jan. 21 -- Actor and doting dad Anil Kapoor is excited about his son, Harshvardhan's Bollywood debut in filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's film Mirziya, next year. And Kapoor is extremely thankful to Mehra for giving his 24-year-old son the big break.
"Anil is elated to see Harshvardhan work so hard for his debut act. He recently visited Siddhivinayak temple (in Mumbai) to pray for Harshwardhan's success, and also thanked Rakeysh Mehra for giving Harsh such a big launch pad," says a source close to the actor.
Incidentally, Kapoor's elder daughter Sonam's big break, after her lukewarm debut Saawariya (2007), came in the form of Mehra's Delhi-6 (2009). Though that film, too, bombed at the box office, it garnered the desired attention for Sonam. Mehra later cast her in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) that was a blockbuster.
Harshvardhan's debut film is inspired by the love tale of Sahiban and UrduPersian poet, Mirza Ghalib. The film will also mark the debut of Saiyami Kher as the female lead, and the first schedule is currently being shot in Udaipur.
