New Delhi, May 5 -- The fifth edition of the country's style Oscars - Hindustan Times Delhi's Most Stylish Awards - saw the who's who of the Capital and the biggest stars from Bollywood celebrate Delhi's distinct sense of style.
The awards, arguably the most prestigious style awards in India, honour leaders from different fields who have made a significant contribution to their arena of work, while exuding an inherent, effortless style sense. It is no surprise then that the awardees this year included politicians, a UN lawyer, business leaders, a Michelin star chef, journalists, a leading cardiologist, dancers and noted fashion designers, apart from glamorous film stars.
While the show, held over the weekend at the very stylish venue, The Oberoi Gurgaon, saw actors Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra bag style honours, politician Rajiv Pratap Rudy, business honcho Deep Kalra and chef Vikas Khanna were also felicitated. Singer and actor Ali Zafar added a musical touch to the evening, as he got actor Priyanka Chopra to hum along with him.
Actor Anil Kapoor, who won the Style Legend Award, earned a compliment from his nephew, actor Arjun Kapoor, also an awardee, when the latter said, "It feels embarrassing to take an award when you have Anil chachu in the audience, who is so more stylish."
A stunning fashion show by designer Manish Malhotra added dollops of glam to the star-studded evening. The perfect end to the soughtafter event sponsored by Audi Gurgaon, came in the form of a delectable spread of world cuisine curated by chef Ravitej Nath and his team at The Oberoi Gurgaon.
