Mumbai, April 29 -- The biggest success that the partnership of director Indra Kumar and actor Anil Kapoor led to was the hit drama, Beta (1992). Even though their last outing together - Rishtey (2002) - did not yield similar results, insiders claim that the two are now set to come together again, after a decade, for a drama.
"Both of them have already had detailed discussions about the project. The film is an archetypal Bollywood entertainer with lots of drama, comedy and romance. Although Anil sir has liked the script, he is yet to give the project the final nod," says the insider.
Apparently, even after Rishtey failed to perform at the box office, the director and actor stayed in touch with each other.
The source adds, "Now that Anil sir is largely free after finishing shooting for a film in Dubai, he will take a call on his forthcoming projects over the next few weeks. Indraji's film will be the top priority."
Although Kapoor couldn't be contacted as he is in the US for a film awards function, Kumar confirmed the news, saying, "It's true that we are in talks. Things are still at the discussion stage. As of now, nothing is finalised."
