New Delhi, March 2 -- Actor Ali Fazal seems to have hit gold with the Bhatts. He was last seen in Mahesh Bhatt's Khamoshiyan and now the buzz is that he has replaced actor Arjun Rampal in filmmaker Pooja Bhatt's next.
According to a source, "Ali has been roped in to replace Arjun, as the latter was too expensive for the production house. Besides Arjun's last release, too, wasn't impressive, so the makers changed their mind."
When contacted, the Bobby Jasoos actor said he was thankful to Bhatts for getting him on board. "Pooja and Bhatt sahab (Mahesh) have put in so much trust in me. The fact that in the need of the hour they called upon me, gives me great strength. I can't say much right now, but the part has come to me at the last minute, and I am doing everything in my power to get familiar with the character," says Ali.
Ali, however, clarifies that there is no bad blood between him and the Roy actor over this Soni Razdan directorial. "Arjun Rampal is a fine performer... I have very big shoes to fill. I am going to meet him and get some professional advice from him," says Ali.
And that's not all. He has also been signed up for yet another Mahesh Bhatt film, which will be directed by Karan Dara, who directed Ali in Khamoshiyan, too.
