New Delhi, Aug. 2 -- Actor Akshay Kumar's upcoming film, which features a dog, will see a special Delhi screening hosted by Union Minister Maneka Gandhi, who is also an animal rights activist.
"Talkatora Stadium has been booked for the special screening which is scheduled for August 7. The event will be attended by other politicians and members of Maneka's NGO. Actors Akshay Kumar and his co-star in the film, Tamannaah Bhatia, will be there too," says a source, adding that the golden retriever from film may also be present at the do.
The film's producer, Ramesh Taurani, confirms, saying, "Yes, Mrs Gandhi has agreed (to the screening) and it's an honour for us." Gandhi had also launched the trailer of the film in May. "It is fun to have animals in films, but it should be done in the right way," she had said.
