New Delhi, Nov. 8 -- Food to him is "life's most genuine pleasure and tastiest necessity". Not many may know that Akshay Kumar is a true blue foodie. We caught up with the actor while he was shooting in Thailand, to talk about all things delicious. Thailand, specially Bangkok holds a special place in his heart, and the actor has a thing for Thai food too. The Thai green curry tops his list.
The actor also loves whipping up the green curry himself. "I have a great time cooking and eating Thai green chicken curry," he says. But his wife Twinkle Khanna loves to gorge on his Italian treats. "My wife loves it when I make her Italian pasta the 'Kumar' way," shares the actor who has worked in Bangkok as a chef.
Ask him who's a better cook, he or his wife, and he says, "Please don't get me wrong...my wife is an incredibly talented woman, but she does not belong in the kitchen. I can cook because my life depended on it when I lived in Thailand. Either I learnt cooking or I learnt how it felt to starve. I chose cooking," he says. When in the kitchen, Akshay loves to experiment a lot, playing around with flavours and food textures. "I do not stick to rules when cooking. I rely on my imagination," he says.
