Mumbai, Jan. 16 -- Actor Akshay Kumar's upcoming film, Baby, is sure to be a visual treat. The film, produced by Bhushan Kumar, has been shot in iconic locations around India as well as abroad.
Some of the historical places that have been featured include Delhi's UNESCO world heritage e site Humayan's Tomb; Gowalia Tank Maidan (now also known as August Kranti Maidan), a park in central Mumbai where Mahatma Gandhi delivered the Quit India speech on August 8, 1942, and Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddha University.
"I prefer to shoot at real locations rather than build sets," says director Neeraj Pandey, stressing that the places give viewers wers an authentic feel as the story unfolds. Other than in India, Neeraj has shot in Abu Dhabi, Nepal and Istanbul, Turkey. In fact, a major sequence has been filmed in the same hotel in Abu Dhabi where the film Furious 7 was also shot.
The team also shot near the historic Blue Mosque in Istanbul and Bhaktapur Durbar Square in Nepal. Baby, presented by Gulshan Kumar, a Neeraj Pandey film, a Crouching Tiger and Friday Filmworks production, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Shital Bhatia, Cape of Good Films and Crouching Tiger, releases on Jan 23, 2015.
