Mumbai, Nov. 16 -- In November last year (2012), Ajay Devgn's production house had filed a complaint against the makers of Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ). Ajay's film Son Of Sardaar (SOS) released on the same day, and the complaint accused the JTHJ makers of violating the Competition Act and that their agreements with the single screen cinemas adversely affected competition.
As per a statement received from the JTHJ makers, it's believed that the production house has been vindicated in the case filed against them. Exactly after one year of the release, "the Competition Appellate Tribunal has dismissed the complaint," the statement said.
This is the second time that the authority has dismissed the complaint filed by Ajay's production house, the first time being on November 8.
The statement further states, "Unfortunately, our refusal to comment had led to aspersions being cast on YRF's business practises, which have always been ethical and of the highest standards ...there is no merit in this appeal and this appeal must be dismissed (sic)."
