Mumbai, April 2 -- Ajay Devgn has mainly been part of action films in the past couple of years. As a result, the actor has been sporting a bulked-up physique for some time now. But now, he is letting go of his muscular look for his next that is being directed by Nishikant Kamat.
A source close to Ajay says, "In this film, he has been asked to maintain a lean physique, as he plays a simple, middle-class man. Even his attire is styled keeping his slimmer frame in mind. However, as of now, the makers want to keep his look under wraps."
We have been told that Ajay will be seen in a character driven role in the film, which will remind audiences of his work in movies such as Gangaajal (2003) and Omkara (2006). The source adds, "Ajay, has been part of several content-driven films in the past; he will return to that genre with this movie."
The actor has started shooting for the film and has already completed a schedule in Goa. He is currently on a short break to celebrate his birthday (April 2) with his family at home. He will resume shooting in Hyderabad from April 5.
