Mumbai, Feb. 16 -- It was recently reported that director Abhishek Kapoor's film, Fitoor, starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif had been shelved. It has now come to light that the film's makers had gone to Kashmir in the first week of February for a recce to finalise locations. Though, it's unusual for actors to accompany the crew on a recce, Aditya, it is learnt, went along with the director.
"Abhishek is already scouting for locations. This indicates he is making the film and that the reports of it being shelved are not true," says an insider.
The team were in the state for a week and plan to start shooting in June-July. "This is Aditya's first visit to Kashmir and he is excited to shoot in the state," adds the source.
Aditya apparently went on the recce as he had a break from the shooting schedule of Daawat-E-Ishq. "When he got to know that Abhishek was heading there, he got excited and decided to accompany him," adds the source.
Aditya confirmed the news, saying, "I like to be involved with my films, right from the beginning. It helps me understand the movie and my character better. So when I got to know that the recce of Fitoor was starting, I was keen to make the trip."
