New Delhi, March 8 -- She might have fulfilled her dream of playback singing for Katrina Kaif in Dhoom: 3 (2013), but singer Aditi Singh Sharma says that there is still one Bollywood diva on her wishlist, whom she wishes to lend her vocals to.
"I've always wanted to sing for Deepika Padukone. I really like the kind of films she has done so far," says Aditi, who got her first big break when she sang for the Hindi dubbed version of the Hollywood hit, High School Musical 2 (2007). Later, she got her first Bollywood number, Yahi Meri Zindagi for Dev D (2009), and there was no looking back after that.
Speaking of playback in Bollywood, there has recently been a trend of actors turning singers, with Shraddha Kapoor crooning Galliyan in Ek Villain and Alia Bhatt humming Main Tenu Samjhawan Ki in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya last year. Aditi feels that the trend is good.
"If someone has any special skill, they should give it a shot on a big platform. And that is what these girls have done," says the 28-year-old. And then there are also singers such as Monali Thakur, who have turned to acting. So is Bollywood the next stop for Aditi, too? "Singers are now easily recognised because of TV and the internet. So, if that leads to a good acting opportunity for me, I would like to take it up!" she says.
