Mumbai, March 7 -- Earlier this week, we reported that Sophie Choudry's hairdresser had borrowed a motorcycle from a stranger on the road so that he could get the actor to an event on time. Now, Aditi Rao Hydari seems to be the latest one to experience traffic woes. Except in this case, Aditi decided to take the Metro to beat the traffic.
The actor was stuck in a traffic jam on her way to a five-star hotel near the international airport, where she was set to make a brand-related appearance. Even though the distance from where she stays in Yari Road, Andheri (W), to the international airport isn't all that much, the traffic was making matters difficult.
"The moment the car hit the road, she realised that she won't be able to make it to the venue on time because of the jam caused due to the unexpected rain over the weekend," says a source. That's when Aditi asked her driver to take her to the closest metro station. "She didn't want to keep the brand officials or the media waiting, so she boarded the metro and got off at the station closest to the hotel," adds the source.
Apparently, Aditi, who was dressed and ready for the formal event, even took a few selfies with some fans on the Metro. She reached the venue well on time with her team, while her driver arrived at the event by road much later.
Confirming the news, Aditi says, "I hate being late so I didn't think twice about it (taking the train). Also, it was fun. I don't get a chance to do this often."
