Mumbai, Feb. 25 -- While reports suggest that Abhinay Deo's next has been stalled due to budget concerns, the director is unfazed by such statements.
"I don't know where these rumours come from. The film is on," he says. Apparently, the Irrfan Khan and Aditi Rao Hydari-starrer will go on the floors next month. "We are on schedule and will start shooting in Lucknow in the first week of March. It will be a month-long shoot.
All the reports about the film getting shelved are rumours," adds the director.
The film is a dark comedy, which also stars Kunaal Roy Kapur, Kunal Kapoor and Divya Dutta. Apart from the film, the Delhi Belly (2011) director is also working on the second season of the television series, 24. "The scripting of the show is on. My film will be shot during a 40-day schedule. Soon after that, perhaps by May-end, I will start shooting the TV series," says Abhinay.
When asked about the casting for the show, especially about reports of Mallika Sherawat being signed for a role, he says, "The cast has not been finalised yet. At the moment, we are focusing only on the script. Once that is locked, we will think about the cast."
