Mumbai, June 26 -- After working on two films - Raanjhanaa (2013) and Tanu Weds Manu Returns - back-to-back, director Aanand L Rai has decided to take a break to relax.
A source close to the director reveals that he has decided to spend some time alone in Uttarakhand.
"He had worked for over two years at a stretch on two films, and they both did well. Last year, he had a packed schedule with Tanu Weds Manu Returns, and he spent half of this year working on the film's postproduction.
Finally, he got the time for a solo retreat in Uttarakhand," says the source.
Often film-makers bask in the success of their films, and go all out to celebrate the box-office collections.
But Aanand has opted for a quiet holiday before he starts work on his future projects. Aanand remained unavailable for a comment, but his spokesperson confirmed the development, and said, "Yes, Aanand is currently vacationing in the north before he starts work on his next."
