When Aamir Khan decided to shoot for the film P.K. around the usually crowded Gol Daak Khana in the heart of Delhi on October 2 — a national holiday, he would have anticipated empty roads and no crowd in the morning.
However, as word spread that the 48-year-old actor was shooting, fans started gathering around the Sacred Heart cathedral where the team was shooting a wedding sequence.
In the scene being filmed, Khan, wearing a check shirt, baggy jeans and carrying a transistor, was running on the road with a group of men chasing him, and the actor giving them the slip by boarding a DTC bus. The actor’s security was deployed right from the Cathedral to the adjacent roads, to keep fans from coming close to the location.
A red car, decorated with flowers and balloons, was parked right outside the Cathedral and character artists dressed as bridesmaids were strolling around it.
The film’s leading lady, Anushka Sharma, was nowhere to be seen, though she has been shooting in the Capital recently.
