To Aamir, with love!

By HT

Mumbai, June 8 -- Aamir Khan is one of the most talented and celebrated actors in the Indian film industry. We've seen him in various avatars throughout his career, but there are still some facts that we are yet to see. Senior photographer Pradeep Chandra's coffee- table book, will now show us never-before-seen images of Aamir.

The pictorial tribute, titled Aamir Khan - Actor Activist Achiever, releases today (June 8) and is a compilation of 200 pictures of the actor at various junctures.

He tells us that it took him three years to put this book together and it is his way of honouring the actor. "I respect Aamir not only as an actor, but also for the kind of person he is. Unlike most celebrities, he is not hungry for publicity. I have been capturing him since the mahurat of his first film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988)," he says.

And what does Aamir have to say about the book? "I have shown some photos to Aamir. I spoke to him while I was working on the book. He told me he'll get back, but he has not been able to take time out because of his packed schedule," says Chandra.

Here, the photographer has shared some of rare pictures of Aamir that are part of his book.
