Mumbai, March 10 -- Rumours claim that actor Aamir Khan has recently been roped in for a biopic on the life of acclaimed wrestler Mahavir Phogat, who trained his three daughters and his niece in wrestling.
While Aamir will be seen as Phogat in director Nitesh Tiwari's film, the crew is still on a lookout for actors to play the role of the daughters.
Rumours suggested that Kangana Ranaut, Taapsee Pannu and Akshara Hassan were being roped in to be part of the film. However, all of them denied the news. A source close to the film's unit says, "The casting team has been searching for actors for the last two months. There are more than a dozen assistants who have been employed to find the right actors for the film. They also need to be fit enough to train in basic wrestling."
The team is looking for absolutely fresh talent, more so having no connection with Bollywood.
"The casting for the first two daughters is of much importance as the story stresses more about their relationship with Phogat," adds the source.
