2 LEGAL TROUBLE
At least two court cases have been filed against Aamir, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Rajkumar Hirani for reportedly promoting nudity, vulgarity and obscenity, after this poster was released - one in Kanpur and one in Indore.
3 LEGAL ROW NOT NEW
Not just the poster, in October last year, an FIR was lodged against the makers for hurting religious sentiments, for a scene where a man dressed as Lord Shiva was pulling a rickshaw with two burqa-clad women in it.
4 IN PLAGIARISM ROW
The film's poster has been accused of copying the art cover of Portuguese musician Quim Barreiros' 1973 single. In fact, similar stills of Tamil actor Vadivelu in the buff have been doing rounds online, too.
5 POSTER SPARKS PROTESTS
Once the posters came out, several protests were reported from various parts of the country such as Kanpur. Protesters even burnt the posters and shouted slogans.
6 AAMIR DEFENDS NUDITY
Recently, at an event, the actor defended his dare bare poster, saying, "This is not for publicity... This poster embibes all the elements of the film. When you watch the film you will be able to understand the idea behind."
7 DEFENDING HIRANI
At the same event, talking about the unique publicity material, he said, "I'd just like to say that the kind of filmmaker, the kind of writer Rajkumar is, he always tries to present the things, his thinking, in a unique way."
8 BUTT BUTT OF ONLINE JOKES
The poster has inspired a lot of jokes and memes. For instance, in one, Hrithik Roshan's face replaces Aamir's and the poster reads 'A Suzzane Khan Film', hinting at the 400 crore alimony reports.
9 SHAH RUKH TAKES A DIG
Actor Shah Rukh Khan took a dig at Aamir at an event while answering a question about showing off talent. "Now it's getting vulgar...show the world what you have under the belt ... mujhe laga PK poster ki baat kar rahe hai hum," SRK said.
10 TALKING STANDEES REMOVED
Some talking standees, a cut out of Aamir Khan from this poster, have been removed from a Mumbai theatre, after a group of women complained to the police about the "obscene image"
