New Delhi, April 30 -- Fresh talent is finding preference over star power in Bollywood now, or so it seems, with A-league filmmakers casting new faces over established stars.
Filmmaker Vipul Shah who has worked with Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn in the past, has recently made Commando with fresher Vidyut Jamwal. "Many people helped me during my early days in the industry so I think it's my turn now to promote young actors who are seeking opportunities," says Shah, who plans to make a sequel to the film, with the same cast. Veteran director Subhash Ghai, who is known to have promoted fresh talent through his films explains the economics behind promoting newbies. "Everyone cannot afford to make a film with a budget of R30 crore. Hence they turn to newcomers," he says.
Ghai is making a comeback with Kaanchi, that stars newcomers
