Bollywood Films: Who wants to get rich?



Mumbai, April 9 -- Bollywood films are increasingly going for out-of-the-box promotional strategies. And looks like the makers of the Emraan Hashmi-Vidya Balan starrer, Ghanchakkar, are upping their game as well.

The film's producers, UTV Motion Pictures, have decided to announce a nationwide treasure hunt that will give fans a chance to win R1 lakh.

A source close to the film reveals, "As part of the game, they will hide the money in 16 cities across India. Like any other treasure hunt, contestants will be given clues to find it. The winner will get to take home the prize money in cash." Since this sort of promotional strategy has never been explored before, the production house is hoping to grab a lot of attention with this move.

The event will be hosted in Lucknow, Delhi, Mumbai, Kanpur, Indore, Bhopal and Ahmedabad, among other cities. Ask director Raj Kumar Gupta about this and he says, "The idea is to promote the film in a fun manner. Currently, the logistics are being finalised by the production house."
