B.O. Update: Independence Day holiday boosts business!
| By Taran Adarsh, Bollywood Hungama News Network The Independence Day weekend witnessed the clash of two major releases, BACHNA AE HASEENO and GOD TUSSI GREAT HO, and expectedly the response to both the films was mixed. While BACHNA AE HASEENO opened well at multiplexes [not all plexes though], the response at mini-metros, smaller centres and single screens wasn’t heartening. Beyond big cities, the opening ranged from average to below average. The film hasn’t found all-round appreciation and the business is expected to slide downwards after the initial euphoria subsides. On the other hand, GOD TUSSI GREAT HO had an average to below average start at multiplexes, but was better at small centres. The reports in a few circuits seem encouraging and the business might show an upward trend at places. Meanwhile, SINGH IS KINNG began its second week with super-strong collections in almost all circuits. |
